Note: Reading 5 translations at once, parallel chapters - shown in 5 columns, is very enlightening. Just read one translation until you are stumped with the meaning of a word or phrase. Then read across the other translations for other definitions. This saves so much time from visiting a Thesaurus or Bible dictionary each time. HCSB tends to be the easiest of the 5 to comprehend.
